Once a sign of rust arises under the steel tank's protective coating, its integrity can be comprised. Mastek have executed many river crossing projects for oil & gas pipelines, some of which involve Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). HDD is an advanced technology useful for construction of all types of pipelines and cable lines under various terrain obstacles such as rivers, lakes, ramparts, roads, canals, swamps, runways, parks, sanctuaries, etc. The obstacle is crossed by drilling under it, from one side to the other, using special machine called drilling rig. Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) has seen enormous growth in the last decade as it offers a clear alternative to open trench and other trenchless construction methods. We have executed HDD in several of its pipeline projects, also working in conjunction with other HDD contractors with specialized equipment.

Mastek owns several HDD rigs upto 500T and can handle HDD crossings of upto 48" diameter pipe across rivers, bridges, roads, flyovers and other terrains to provide a non-destructive alternative for crossing of pipelines and cables

Structural Fabrication and Erection

Gallery-2 Fabrication is the process used to manufacture steelwork components that will, when assembled and joined, form a complete frame. The frame generally uses readily available standard sections that are purchased from the steelmaker or steel stockholder, together with such items as protective coatings and bolts from other specialist suppliers.

Although a wide range of section shapes and sizes are produced, the designer may find that the required section size is not available. In this case, built-up girders may be fabricated from plate. Sections and plate girders may also be strengthened by stiffening the web or flanges depending upon the load to be carried.

Most modern steelwork fabrication factories have computer aided design and detailing (CAD) which is linked directly to factory floor computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery creating a genuine CAD/CAM environment. The accuracy of the computer generated details being transmitted directly to the computer aided manufacturing (CAM) machinery increases the quality standards of production
